What Is The F-Bomb?
The F-Bomb is a floating lure from the amazing Lucky Bug Lure Company that is designed to impress and trust me when I say it does just that! Whether it is being twitched on top water as a surface bait, being retrieved as a shallow runner, weighted with a split shot or even bottom walked with a three way swivel or bottom bouncer, this lure will produce! With its incredible wounded minnow action and loud rattle, fish are just simply compelled to bite it, even when they are not hungry.
The BPA free, hard plastic body is built tough and can withstand a lot of abuse, I love catching pike and walleye and this lure stands up to their sharp little teeth. It features two hook locations to allow you to set it up for your specific presentations, whether you are fishing in lakes, rivers or oceans.
Casting
Tie the F-Bomb directly to your main line and cast it out, it really is just that simple! The action that these guys produce in the water is absolutely incredible, it’s actually quite mesmerizing to watch as you are reeling them in. You can also try twitching it on top of the water as a surface bait, retrieving it as a shallow runner or even weighing it down with a split shot for medium depths or bottom walking with a three-way swivel or even using it with a bottom bouncer. Play around with your retrieve and don’t be afraid to jerk this bait, it has some serious action and can really move in the water. If fishing in the rivers, try to cast across the stream and allow the lure to swing across the current and vary your retrieval.
* I like to dress the rear treble hook on the F-Bomb with a small bunch of krystal flash and hackle that matches the colour of the lures back, but shh don’t tell anyone because it drives the fish crazy!
Trolling
Tie the F-Bomb directly to your main line and let out enough line to get to your desired depth. You can also use a down rigger or bottom walker as other options as well.
